MISSION

The Normand Group is a privately owned Canadian corporation dedicated to the industrial distribution and retail sectors of the woodworking industry.

ORGANIZATION

In business since 1950, Normand has become a major importer/distributor in the woodworking industry in Canada.

The company relies on a team of dynamic and experienced people ready to share their knowledge and experience with customers. In addition to the administrative and distribution center of Levis (QC), Normand operates two other store locations in Laval (QC) and Cambridge (ON).

MARKET

We cater to manufacturers of the secondary wood transformation sector. They manufacture office and residential furniture, windows and doors, kitchen cabinets, carpentry and architectural millwork. We also serve several manufacturers and institutions from various other business sectors as well as a growing number of artisans and woodworking enthusiasts. We are active in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.

STRATEGY

At Normand, our main objective is to develop and maintain a long term relationship with our business partners. Tomorrow’s success depends not only on new concepts and innovative ideas, but also on a closer partnership between the various stakeholders.

We are convinced that the supplier - distributor – end user relationship is not only important, but must also be dynamic and complementary in order to develop appropriate solutions to the needs of everyone. Success for one is now measured by the success of others! This is the strategy for winners and it is part of our commitment to offering products and services that meet the needs of the future.

A word from the boss

Covid-19: an opportunity to stick together! (20-04-01)

The Governments of Quebec and Ontario have decided to take major measures to limit the spread of the virus. With the exception of the construction industry as well as the manufacturing industry, businesses in general will close their doors until April 13, thereby obeying government orders.

Normand does not claim to be an essential service, but we do believe that we offer a valuable service to thousands of users working in the woodworking industry. However, we feel it is our duty to participate in this outpouring of solidarity by closing our stores and offices during the same period.

Since working remotely and E-commerce are allowed and we must maintain an essential service for those who must operate during this period, it will be possible to order either via our website, by email at info@normand.ca or by phone at the toll free number 1.888.881.4442.

We have already scheduled specific shipping days with our regular carriers and the time required to process your order should not exceed 48 hours.

We invite you to take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus and to use this exceptionally difficult time to "voluntarily isolate" yourself in your workshop.

The Boss thanks you for continuing to encourage us and hopes that this "break" will bring the expected results.
